When I first started in photography I had to get a mate to show me how to load the film in my camera. Today I still use the same camera and I have taught myself over the years how to master and harness light and capturing it to make the images you see on this site.

There are no tricks in what I do. I don't take an average photograph and then spend hours in photoshop making it look great.

My courses are designed to show you the techniques I use in my everyday shooting and the tips and tricks I used along the way to make sure that each time you head out with your photographic gear is a learning experience.

At the end of the course I cant promise you will necessarily walk away with the ability to take images like mine. But what I can promise is that you will walk away with the knowledge on how the process is done and you will be armed with the skills so you can develop and learn from your own hard work so capturing images like mine is a definite reality.

This one days course starts around mid day and continues to after sunset. Students will receive 7-8 hours of hands on instruction along with detailed handouts on techniques learned. At the end of the day students will shoot sunset under instruction putting into practice the days teachings.

Our one on one courses are designed and focused on the elements of photography that you may be struggling with. For photographers of any skill level we can start the course off where ever you want it to missing out the basics or just filling in the gaps. Or taking your photography to the next level. During these courses you are free to use my own personal equipment, perfect for those who may be contemplating the move to medium format photography or those who want to use pro digital.

Set in the magical Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney this two days course is all inclusive of accommodation, meals, transport and instruction. We will shoot all day in among the dense vivid green forests and waterfalls and then to the rocky out crops on sunset. We will explore the botanical gardens of Mt Wilson and the Garden of Ferns. Our trip will be governed by the weather, but no matter what each type of weather rain or sun shine brings with it brilliant factors for capturing photographs worthy of being printed as big as you can get them...
