About Me...
Hello and Welcome

Im an Australian Landscape Photographer based in the Sydney area. My work is a seven year collection of images taken when mother nature is at her very best. My work is influenced by the shape, movement and colour of Sydney and the Australian outback and coastline.
I am always out shooting and adding to my collection of images. If you see me standing on the edge of the water line or at the edge of a sea cliff, please come up and say hi.
From humble beginnings
My first perfect exposure | August 01

My journey taking photo's has been an interesting one. With no formal training at all I tripped and stumbled my way honing my skills by doing things like taking photos in the morning and writing down the exposures on a notepad and then driving my film to this lab that use to be in Artarmon called "Icon".
The guys there were fantasic, I would drop my film in and go and sit in my car for the hour and a half it took to process and I would then eagerly head back in after an hour and twently minutes and more often than not my film would be ready. I then spread out my trannys on their huge light table and with a loup and the advice from Dave and Grant they would walk me through my exposures giving me advice and with my exposures written down I could compare what worked and what didnt. (Thanks guys your help and advice I will never forget)
The above image is the first shot I took that I would say I took that is perfectly exposed. It was more fluke than skill. Now days all my exposures come out spot on and when I drop in 20 or 30 rolls of film I get the odd one that is off and I blame that on my camera. :)
Amazing Light
100% Natural Light | Summer 04

When I started photography I had the pleasure of living right on Narrabeen Beach on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and with that came the opportunity to be able to see and read the cloud cover on the horizon that started and ended each day.
On a summers evening, myself and a good mate Casey had just grabbed a pizza and as the sun set we saw the colour of the sky painted over everything outside. I grabbed my camera gear and sprinted to the beach front where I set up and snapped off a few shots as I attempted to get my breath back.
I turned to a nearby fisherman and I remember saying, "Mate how good is this sunset" his reply was, "If you think this is good, you should have been here 10 minutes ago"... I can only imagine what the light could have been.
